Located on a steep hillside in San Carlos, this property had great potential for maximizing usable space. We kept the existing patio and large retaining wall off the house, then added stairs to access the hillside and terraced the upper hill into three distinct zones. The first level features raised vegetable beds and a vibrant butterfly garden. Next, we designed a terrace with a spacious lawn for the kids to play, along with a hot tub and fire pit. And, at the top of the hill we created a viewing deck with stunning bay views, plus a playhouse and slide. We transformed this once-blank slate into a functional and beautiful space, and the results are truly fabulous!
