Situated on a sloping lot in Belmont, this property had been neglected for decades. The new homeowners tasked our team with transforming the space to include a deck, pergola, and a play area for the children, all while preserving the natural feel of the environment. A large Coast Live Oak stands at the center of the hill, providing the perfect spot for a natural playground with balance logs and a swing. On the lower slope, we added a built-in slide and a small deck where mom and dad can relax while watching the kids play. On the upper level, we converted the roof of an awkwardly placed shed into a cozy rooftop deck with a covered pergola. The space is now fully functional for play, entertaining, and relaxation, all while maintaining its organic, natural vibe.
